Nils Schooley, BSc Metallurgical Engineering, MBA
President and CEO
As founder, President & CEO of Rapier Resources, Inc., Nils brings more than 50 years of experience in the mining, production, purchasing, marketing and sales of metals and minerals. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical Engineering from Queens’ University (1965) and an MBA from the University of Toronto where he graduated in 1985.
Prior to forming Rapier Resources, Inc., Nils held various senior executive positions with several North American metal and mineral producers. More specifically, he was President of Shieldalloy Metallurgical Corporation, a $200 million, metals & alloys manufacturing and marketing company; President of Metallurg (Canada) Ltd, the Canadian arm of the Metallurg Group; held various top level positions with INCO in Copper Cliff, New York, and Toronto, over 18 years, as well as a Project Engineer with Alcan in the earliest part of his career.
Nils also enjoys travelling and spending time with his family.
Ryan Schooley, P.Eng, MBA
Vice President
Ryan Schooley joined Rapier Resources in 2008 as Vice President. Ryan is a Professional Engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Queens’ University (Sci ’96), and an MBA from Queens’ where he completed a dual major in Finance and Marketing, graduating with honors in 2004.
Prior to joining Rapier Resources, Ryan was the Manager of Engineered Products for CCI Thermal Technologies Inc. and specialized in the design, production, sales & marketing of large scale process equipment for the mining, petrochemical, and chemical industries across the world.He also held the positions of Regional Sales Manager, Manager of Research & Development, Product Manager, and Project Engineer with CCI and Caloritech Inc. its predecessor. Ryan brings a wealth of knowledge in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Finance to Rapier Resources and over the last 6 years he has developed an expertise in the metals and mineral markets and logistics.
Ryan also volunteers with Scouts Canada running the local Beaver program, is married, and has three boys.
